The funeral mass for Viola Murnaghan was celebrated Friday, October 27, 2017 from Hillsboro Funeral Home to Our Lady of Assumption Church with celebrant Rev. Benedict Paulraj, O. Praem proclaimin­g the gospel and delivering the homily. The Pall was placed by Lornie Murnaghan, Russell Murnaghan, Carol Callaghan and April Murnaghan and the Pascal Candle was lit by Rita Corrigan and Lois Kenny. The first reading was read by Marlene Hughes and the second reading by Rose Gaudet and the prayers of intercessi­on were proclaimed by Greg Trainor. Music was provided by soloist Alan Keoughan accompanie­d by Vince Keoughan on base guitar and a violin selection by Wayne Murnaghan. The procession­al hymn were “This Alone”; psalm - “My Shepherd is the Lord”; communion - “God on the Mountain”; Meditation “The Flowers, The Sunset, The Trees”; Incense - “Song of the Angels” and the recessiona­l hymn was “How Great Thou Art”. The cross bearer was Ken J. MacDonald; altar servers were Shirley Arsenault and Rick Richard and Holy Water and Incense Bearer was Clair Arsenault. Honorary Pallbearer­s were all those in attendance, and Pallbearer­s were Helen Corrigan, Joseph Corrigan, Chris Kenny, Luanne Kenny, Melissa Murnaghan, Crystal Murnaghan, Michelle Callaghan and Chad Callaghan. Interment followed the funeral liturgy at Mt. Ryan Cemetery with Rev. Benedict Paulraj, O. Praem delivering the graveside prayers. Completion of funeral arrangemen­ts were entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
