The death occurred peacefully, at her home, on Saturday, November 11, 2017, of Jean Gauthier (nee Lyons), wonderful wife of Richard Gauthier, of North Rustico, aged 84. Jean was the loving mother of Raymond (Marlene),

Blaine, Roger (Daniella) and Johanne

Gass (Jason); grandmother of Bryan, Heather, Kelsey, Ross, Emily, Richard, Robert, Courtney, Emily and Christina. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill Lyons and Sonny Lyons; sister, Nan; and brothers and sistersin-law, Edna Sampson, Theresa Krischuck, Virginia “Ginger” Flaherty and Clarence Gauthier; special niece, Ann McCord; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret (Moore) Lyons; brothers and sisters, Bobby, Sue, Archie and Rose; sister-in-law, Mamie; and brothers-in-law, Willie John, Jack and Percy. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.
