If you’re under the age of 25 and love the game of basketball, then Thursday, Nov. 23, is a day you don’t want to miss.

The Island Storm has teamed with Credit Union for the P.E.I. Credit Union under-25 game between the Moncton Magic and the Island Storm at Eastlink Centre on Thursday, Nov. 23.

Game time is 7 p.m., and it’s a good way to check out the National Basketball League of Canada is all about, said Storm vice-president Brett Poirier.

“P.E.I. Credit Unions are integrated into our Island community unlike any other financial institution. Launching this partnership to give back to young people in our communities is a great initiative put forward by Credit Union,” said Poirier. “I hope to see thousands of people take advantage of this opportunity and come support our local team and our local Credit Unions.”

Anyone under 25 can get into the game free of charge. Tickets can only be acquired in person at the box office and an ID must be shown.

Tickets are available with a $10 discount for courtside seats.

It’s the first of two under-25 games, the second coming in the new year.

“Credit Unions are very excited to partner with the Island Storm and hopefully together can inspire more Islanders to get up and get active,” said David Chapman, manager of marketing and communications for P.E.I. Credit Unions. “We know the more physically active a person is the more success, both physically and financially, they tend to have.”

The free tickets will be available at the Eastlink Centre box office on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
