Club raises funds for AED for school
The St. Eleanors Lions Club is raising $2,500 to buy an automatic external defibrillator (AED) for Greenfield Elementary School in Summerside and hopes to hand over the potentially life-saving machine in December. Every year Greenfield helps the club with its Christmas hamper campaign contributions, so members wanted to do something for the school to show their appreciation. The St. Eleanors Lions Club is still raising the money to buy the AED, including grocery bagging at Atlantic Superstore this past Friday. Promoting the event is Greenfield vice-principal Gail Finniss, left, and principal Sandra Jay.
