Pigskin picks

-

The National Football League heads into week 13 and the playoff picture is starting to take shape. Let’s take a closer look:

New York Giants (2-9) at Oakland Raisers (5-6): There’s turmoil in Gotham as the Giants are benching QB Eli Manning in favour of Geno Smith. The Raiders are only a game out of first in their division, and the Giants are going nowhere. The spread however is nine points and that’s far too great for a less than .500 team. Take the points and the G-Men;

San Francisco (1-10) at Chicago (3-8): 49ers fans are excited as highly regarded QB Johnny Garoppolo makes his first start since the trade with New England. This is a good time to take the road dogs so jump aboard; Tampa Bay (4-7) at Green Bay (5-6): Packers QB Todd Hundley was great in his last outing, a close loss to Steelers in Pittsburgh. Tampa Bay travelling to Lambeau Field in December as two-point favourites, not for me. Bet Green Bay;

New England Patriots (9-2) at Buffalo (5-6): The Pats have won seven straight, and Brady and Belichick are on a roll. The Bills are going with scrambler QB Tyrod Taylor and beating the Pats would be their Super Bowl. The Pats are nine-point favs, but the Bills will be tough at home. Don’t think the Pats can cover; L.A.Rams (8-3) at Arizona (5-6): They met a month or so ago in London, and the Rams thumped the Cards 33-0. The venue will not make a difference. L.A. is tons the best. As always, pay the mortgage first, the picks are for fun
