Shining Waters Family Fun Park is adding a little sweet success to its Cavendish Beach attraction.

Nicknamed the Sugar Shack, the new attraction will include BeaverTails and Shipwreck Fudge & Sweet Shoppe.

The Sugar Shack will serve the iconic BeaverTails pastry, fried dough hand-stretched to resemble a beaver’s tail.

The outlet will also serve BeaverTails poutine, BeaverDogs, and MooZoo smoothies.

“We have two BeaverTails locations at Magic Mountain, and they’ve proven to be extremely popular,” says Matthew Jelley, president of Maritime Fun Group.

“We expect it will be just as popular at Shining Waters.”

The new Sugar Shack is currently under construction, and the tasty treats will be accessible from both the Shining Springs Water Park and Buccaneer Bay.

The BeaverTails pastry has been a popular Canadian treat since 1978, and now operate more than 120 locations worldwide.

“We are also excited to add our own fudge to the selection of sweets at the Sugar Shack. We’ve been selling it at Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk, and we are happy to be offering Shipwreck Fudge at Shining Waters, where it is handcrafted right on site, using ADL butter,” said Jelley.

The Sugar Shack will be opening for summer 2018.
