Prince County residents can take bus to MacIsaac concert

-

A Celtic Christmas with Ashley MacIsaac and Friends is happening Friday, Dec.15 at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity United Church, 220 Richmond St., Charlottetown.

MacIsaac will be joined on stage with Hilda Chaisson, Maxim Cormier and special guest Robert Bouchard, performing traditional Christmas, Country and Celtic tunes.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is general admission.

Tickets are available now, along with special motorcoach bus tickets from the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts in Summerside or online at https://www.ticketpro.ca/

“The bus is intended to allow folks to enjoy the evening even more by having someone else to do the driving” says Don Quarles, Indian River Festival executive director.

“The ride will offer Christmas music, a themed guided talk en route and other special surprises for those who take the bus to the concert. For every bus /concert ticket combo purchased, $10 will be donated to the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts.”

Bus pick-up times and locations are 5 p.m. at the College of Piping and 5:30 p.m. at Island Stone Pub in Kensington. Return tickets can be purchased for only $17.50 at the College of Piping.

For people wanting to dine before traveling, Brothers 2 in Summerside and Island Stone Pub in Kensington are offering early seating in their restaurants for pre-bus and concert meals. Call them for reservations.

This event is being presented by Indian River Festival as a joint fundraiser with Historic St. Mary’s and Trinity United Church in Charlottetown.
