‘Loving environment’

Faithworks Centre providing free meal and service on Christmas Day

- BY JIM DAY

The Faithworks Centre in North Wiltshire is planning to serve free hot meals and provide a warm welcome on Christmas Day.

Joseph Arsenault says he is helping to organize the event for people “that are looking to experience a real sense of family in a loving environment… anyone looking to feel the expression of love .’’

While the gathering is open to all, Arsenault notes the Faithworks Centre was looking in particular to reach people who do not have any family to share the day with or who are perhaps lacking in hope.

There will also be a service conducted by pastor Bill Arsenault, adds Joseph (no relation), intended to “turn the hearts of people back to our savior at this time of year.’’

The free meal will be served from noon to 3 p.m. at Faithworks Centre, located at 1288 Loyalist Rd.

To pre-register for the meal, sign up online at http://faithisland.org/christmas.

Arsenault hopes a couple hundred people will attend the event.

More than 400 showed up on

Canada Day in Rochford Square in Charlottetown for a day of worship organized by Arsenault

in conjunction with Faithworks Centre. Arsenault says more than 110 people from different

denominations came forward to decree the word of God.

The Faithworks Centre is

dedicated to reaching out to the local community and providing them a place of worship.
