Hosting the ceilidh is Colleen MacPhee, who will be joined by Larry Campbell, vocals and guitar, along with guest drummer and vocalist Billy Matthews.

Campbell, a talented musician, was P.E.I. male vocalist and songwriter of the year in 2004. He was also a member of the popular bluegrass band, “Bluestreak”, which performed throughout the Maritimes. In 2004 and 2005, this group was nominated for an ECMA and was the P.E.I. bluegrass recording for both years.

Campbell was also a former sidekick to Roy MacCaull, who was host of the popular local TV show, “Community Showcase”. Campbell is currently a member of Neon Moon, which plays regularly at the Wing in Summerside and the Royal Canadian Legion in Charlottetown. He also performs occasionally with Keelin Wedge as well as performing a trio gig with Roy MacCaull and Marcella Richard.

Matthews, a musician like his dad, Neil, played on the road in Ontario until the family moved back to P.E.I., where he continued his music as a drummer and a singer with the group, Urban Outlaws. He is currently a member of The Accents.

MacPhee is a member of A Tribute to Lady Singers of our Century, performing the music of Rita MacNeill. She also has a couple of CDs to her credit.

The ceilidh is a fundraiser for Winsloe United Church, which is located at 121 Winsloe Rd., next to the Confederation Trail. The church is wheelchairaccessible and offers plenty of parking. There will be a light lunch served. Tickets are $10 at the door, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
