Bilingual luncheon
French-speaking business people invited to discover support programs, services
Free luncheons are being held to inform francophone and bilingual business people of a variety of services.
The series of promotional luncheons, nicknamed the “RDÉE Road Show”, is offered to members of the Acadian Chamber as well as any employer and entrepreneur interested in joining.
The information sessions will be held Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 11:45 a.m. at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside; Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 11:45 at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown; Thursday, Jan. 18 at 11:45 a.m. at the Centre Acadien de Prince-Ouest in Deblois.
Participants will learn about services provided by the Acadian Chamber and the Wellington Rural Action Centre. The two two partners will unveil their joint calendar of events for entrepreneurs for 2018. They will also talk about their biggest event of the year, the Entrepreneurs’ Gala, slated for March 17.
The RDÉE (the provincial francophone economic development council) will then present its two internship programs: PERCÉ, for postsecondary students, and the new Objectif carrière Î.-P.-É. program, for those who have completed their college or university studies.
Participants will learn about the 2018 Dragons’ Contest, an entrepreneurial competition offering a $10,000 prize, as well as the new part-time job promoting service, “Petite job”.
The RDÉE will also provide details on the various initiatives of its LIENS program (Linking Economic Immigration to our Successes), specifically on the ways employers can benefit from them.
A representative from the University of Moncton will join the RDÉE Road Show to speak about the institution’s Masters of Business Administration degree program.
Each gathering will wrap up with draws for door prizes.
