COFFIN Koren

The funeral for Koren Coffin was held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home to St. Andrew’s Church, Mt. Stewart where the funeral mass was celebrated by Reverend Maurice Praught who also delivered the homily. The funeral pall was placed on Koren’s casket by her family. The first reading was proclaimed by Tyson Kenny and the second reading was proclaimed by Jordan Dingwell. The Gospel was proclaimed by Reverend Kevin Dingwell. The prayers of the faithful were offered by Susan Baldwin.The funeral mass was sung by St. Andrew’s Choir. The organist was Barb McKenna.. They rendered the opening hymn, Be Not Afraid, the psalm, The Lord’s My Shepherd, the offertory hymn, Here I Am Lord and the communion hymn, Hail Mary Gentle Woman. The reflection piece was I Walk By Faith, written by Koren, and the recessional was Take My Hand Precious Lord. The pallbearers were Bill Coffin, Douglas Mitchell, Charlie MacConnell, Chief Brian Francis, Darrell Mullen and Craig Dingwell. The honorary pallbearers were Tommy & Pat Atkins, Theo & Cobie Oomen, John & Wanda MacDonald, Jeff & Amy Bystervelt, Johnny & Janet Bystervelt, Dick & Viola Murley, Ray & Audrey Shaw, Rodney & Patsy Dingwell, Kermit MacDonald, Norma Burns, Faye Riley, Cathy MacDonald, Buddy Mullen, Sterling Gunn, Darren Gunn, Ted Cormier, Walter Evans, Lillian Mitchell and Paul Lund. Interment will take place later in St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery.
