Congrès mondial acadien 2019 offers guide to help plan family reunions

Anyone interested in organizing a family reunion during the Congrès mondial acadien 2019 can take advantage of a new guide to help them out.

The congrès is holding the event between Aug. 10 and 24, 2019 in P.E.I. and southeast New Brunswick.

The Guide to Planning Your Family Reunion offers advice to help families shape their thinking and plan their reunion.

“The guide will be a very useful tool for those who are interested in organizing a family reunion, but don’t really know where to start,” said the event’s chair, Claudette Thériault. “The holiday season is a great time to reach out to family members and discuss the possibilities.”

Family reunions are often considered to be the heart of the Congrès mondial acadien.

All interested families are invited to register and can consult the guide for tips and advice on how to do so. The guide also offers information on funding and budget planning, the governance of the organizing committees, recruitment and promotion strategies, etc.
