The Jim Cuddy Band setting off soon on 2018 cross-Canada Constellat­ion Tour which starts in Maritimes

In support of his fourth solo studio album, Jim Cuddy, former Blue Rodeo member, will soon be setting out on a crossCanad­a tour. The Constellat­ion Tour kicks off on Feb. 8 in the Maritimes, and will include 33 stops across the country.

Joining Jim on tour are his bandmates Colin Cripps (guitar), Anne Lindsay (fiddle), Steve O’Connor (keyboards), Bazil Donovan (bass) and Joel Anderson (drums). Special guests for some shows include Barney Bentall as well Devin Cuddy and Sam Polley.

Cuddy’s new album, “Constellat­ion”, is scheduled for release on Friday, Jan. 26. Recorded at Blue Rodeo’s Woodshed Studio in Toronto over the fall of 2017, the 11-track album showcases The Jim Cuddy Band at the height of its musical prowess.

Over the course of four solo albums and 15 studio recordings as a member of Blue Rodeo, Cuddy has establishe­d himself as one of Canada’s most respected artists. Among his accolades, he has received 15 Juno Awards, the Order of Canada and, along with bandmates of Blue Rodeo, has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, received the Governor General Performing Arts Award and a Star on the Walk of Fame.

The upcoming Jim Cuddy Band concerts will include one at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John, N.B., Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax, Friday, Feb. 9, and The Fredericto­n Playhouse, Sunday, Feb. 11. Showtime is 8 p.m. for these concerts presented by evenko and Live Nation.

Every ticket for the tour includes a digital copy of the new album, “Constellat­ion.”
