Circle Around the Centre returns
Wayne Hambly will be first speaker in luncheon series on Jan. 24
From January through June, the Confederation Centre is hosting the 2018 Circle Around the Centre Luncheon Series.
“Catherine Hennessey was the driving force behind our anniversary 2014 series, and she has some fantastic new ideas for this year,” states a news release.
Circle Around the Centre attendees will enjoy a monthly luncheon of sandwich and salad or soup as well as a talk by some of the Island’s most interesting movers and shakers.
The first speaker, Wayne Hambly, will make his presentation on Jan. 24 at noon in Studio 1 (besides Mavor’s) at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. He will speak on his past 25 years as chairman of Wayne Hambly is the first speaker in the 2018 Circle Around the Centre series, set for Jan. 24 in Studio 1 at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
the centre’s board and share his thoughts and hopes about moving into the future.
An active force in the Island community, Hambly is a recipient of the Order of P.E.I. and the Order of Canada. He is also an honorary life member of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce and an inductee to the P.E.I. Business Hall of Fame. In addition, he has received countless other awards and accolades in recognition of his lifelong hard work and dedication to his community.
A portion of each ticket purchased to these events will be donated to The Circle Around the Centre Fund of the Confederation Centre of the Arts Foundation.
This fund was created by Hennessey with the purpose to commemorate and celebrate notable individuals and special occasions that have a significant importance or connection to the centre and its rich history.
