M. Jacqueline Agnew; Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 75 years, on February 3, 2018 at her home in Summerside,

P.E.I. Born in

Sydney, N.S., she was the eldest daughter of the late

John Dan and

Adele MacPhee of St Peters Bay, P.E.I. She is survived by daughter Jacqueline (Michael) Hamm of Greenwood, N.S., son Cyril (Nancy) MacPhee of North Bay, ON, son Travis Agnew and daughter Angela Agnew, both of Summerside, P.E.I., as well as several grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brother Gerry (Gail) MacPhee, Charlottet­own, P.E.I., and sisters Angela (Darwin) Armstrong, Sarnia, ON, and Sally (Marcy) Ziabek, Charlottet­own, P.E.I. She was predecease­d by daughter Sarah Appleton, brothers John “Beau” MacPhee and Peter MacPhee, husband Donald Agnew, and her soulmate Frank MacLaren. A friend to all she encountere­d, she will be deeply missed as the matriarch of her family and the sweetest grandma any child could ever hope to have. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Hennesey Cutcliffe Charlottet­own Funeral Home in Charlottet­own. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 from 2 - 3:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Father Keith Kennefic officiatin­g.
