Arms to Ukraine barbaric decision

-

I read a while ago that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s federal Liberal government is opening the door for Canadian-made weapons and equipment to be sent to Ukraine, even though the three-year war shows no sign of abating.

They claim that corporations and individuals can apply to the Canadian government to send arms to the Ukraine. In my opinion, I think this is barbaric, as it only adds fuel to this unfortunate situation and costs more lives and creates more misery for these people.

I can’t understand how the leaders of our country can call themselves honorable doing these harmful deeds. Canada was a respected nation in the world before we started taking sides in world conflicts and I think it has ruined our trust on the world stage.

I really don’t think good people do things like supporting one side against another. How does a country like ours make friends in the world by aggressive acts like these? If one of our provinces put tough sanctions on another, like what’s going on in the world, well, I don’t think we would have a very good country, would we?

There is a better way to make a better world and it’s called wisdom, respect, and working with all sides in a trusting manner and going the extra mile to achieve this goal. It isn’t by sending weapons to a conflict zone, but having the common sense to work towards peace for everyone to make a better world.
