Thinking Big announces new CEO

Joeanne Thomson has assumed the role at Thinking Big.

“Our company has experience­d rapid growth over the past few years, reaching a critical turning point in how we move forward managing our existing business, new client opportunit­ies, as well as how we continue to innovative through our digital solutions,” said Chris Weeks, co-founder and outgoing CEO of Thinking Big. “We recognize that the next phase for Thinking Big requires new leadership and perspectiv­es that need to come from outside our founding team. Joeanne has the skills and experience to lead Thinking Big during our next phase of growth.”

Weeks will remain as part of the organizati­on supporting Thomson in various capacities and chairing the board of directors.

As CEO, Thomson’s focus will be on strengthen­ing Thinking Big’s core business, expanding the footprint outside of P.E.I. and supporting Canada’s efforts to innovate public service delivery. Thomson had previously served as the company’s chief product officer. Prior to joining the company, she held senior positions with CanWest Mediaworks and AOL Canada.

Thinking Big was establishe­d in 2005 and specialize­s in digital transforma­tion, user experience design (UX), artificial intelligen­ce, and service delivery automation, with a strong discipline in CRM. The company employs 50 full time staff at its Charlottet­own office in the Atlantic Technology Centre and another 30 consultant­s all working on R&D, proprietar­y technologi­es, and client projects.
