CONNOLLY, Patrick J.

The funeral for Patrick J. Connolly was held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church where the funeral mass was celebrated by Reverend Keith Kennific who also delivered the homily. The Funeral Pall was placed on the casket by Pat’s brothers and sister, Bernie and Paul Connolly and Cathy Gaudet. The Pascal Candle was lit by daughter, Lisa Cox. The lessons were read by sons-in-law, Kent Cox and Mark Jenkins. The prayers of intercession were offered by son-in-law Doug Trowsdale. The Funeral Mass was sung by St. Pius X Church Choir under the direction of Eileen Flanagan. The organist was Karen Power. During the mass the choir sang the processional hymn, Here I Am Lord and the recessional hymn, The Old Rugged Cross. The offertory hymn, In The Garden and the communion hymn, A Closer Walk With Thee were sung by soloist, Ramona Taylor. The pallbearers were Pat’s grandchildren Kara and Molly Rose Connolly, Isaac, Olivia and Abigail Cox, Hannah, Sarah and Luke Jenkins, Kayla Connolly and Logan Comeau. The honorary pallbearers were everyone in attendance. The interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Among those attending the funeral liturgy were representatives of the Parkdale Homecoming Committee, former Parkdale Elementary School staff, the Tyler Group and retired Principals.
