Ceilidhs are Fridays at St. Peters Circle Club, St. Peters, 7:30-11 p.m., with local entertainm­ent. Admission is $5.

A ceilidh is at the Kaylee Hall, Fridays, 8-11 p.m. Admission is $5. Music is by Jim Madsen, Donnie MacDonald, Jim Galpin and Elinor MacAulay.

Legion kitchen party is at the Summerside Legion, March 31, 2-5 p.m., featuring Peter Burke.

Saturday ceilidhs are at the Belfast Rec Centre, 8-11 p.m., with a 50-50 draw and a light lunch. In case of a winter storm, the next ceilidh will be held the following Saturday evening.

Regular monthly ceilidh is at Dunstaffna­ge School Centre on April 1, 7 p.m., hosted by Roadmaster­s’ Band, with Ivor Price, Wayne Diamond, Theo Wiegers and Mike Huston. Guest entertaine­rs include Eric Leamont, Mildred Dover, Urban McAdam, Carol Callaghan and fiddler Mary Smith. Admission is $8. There’s a 50/50 draw and lunch. The centre is wheelchair accessible.

Kitchen party-style entertainm­ent, featuring classic rock, country and anything else, is at The Shed, Slemon Park Hotel and Conference Centre, every Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. New talent is always welcome. There is free admission (for adults of any age). Call Kim, 902-888-7192.

Helping Hands Band Jamboree is April 7, 7:30 p.m., at St. Anthony’s Hall, Route 2, Woodstock, with funds raised supporting local charities. Admission is at the door. Come and enjoy music, fun and lunch.

Acoustic music jam is Sunday, 2-8:30 p.m., with the next one on April 8, at the Acadian Musical Village (Expo-Centre), AbramVilla­ge, organized by the Acadian Musical Village and the Evangeline Bluegrass Festival. QCONCERTS

Got Blues Matinee is Saturdays, 2:30-4:30 p.m., at The Factory Cookhouse, 189 Kent St., Charlottet­own, hosted by Got Blues (Chris Roumbanis and friends Reg Ballagh and Mike Robicheau). Each week there is a special guest, and the second set is always an electric blues jam. On March 31, the guests are singer Chastity Smith, saxophonis­t/keyboardis­t Pat King, guitarist/singer Logan Richard and drummer Jamie Doucette.

Blues Jam with Whiskey Business is at Baba’s Lounge on the last Saturday of each month with the next concert set for March 31, 5:30-8 p.m. The first set features rockin blues originals and covers, and the second set is an open blues jam. Matt Minglewood solo and acoustic is on stage at The Pourhouse, Charlottet­own, March 31, 8 p.m. For tickets, contact the venue. The Fretless will perform in concert on April 1 at Copper Bottom Brewing in Montague, 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be found in the taproom or online via Eventbrite. This is a 19-plus. Doors open at 7 p.m.

A variety concert, featuring On the Road Again with Ernie Gallant, Claude Gaudet, John Campbell, Joe Lawless and Cindy Ellands-Arsenault is April 2, 7-9 p.m., at the Summerside Legion. Open mike performers, 7-7:30 p.m., have free admission. Admission for everyone else is $5. There is also a 50/50 draw and door prize. Bring a friend and acoustic instrument­s for a jam after the concert. Lively Songs for Little People by Michael Pendergast (the Music Man) are casual drop-in shows with a small family-friendly rate, movements, songs, dance and humour. Park Royal United Church, Charlottet­own, will hold a fundraisin­g concert April 7, 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. The lineup includes Tony Buena, Brad Trivers, The Retakes, a barbershop group, Jeanie Campbell, Bill Courtney and Bill Murley. The legendary Blue Crystals will be returning to belt out rock ’n’ roll with the help of Dave Altass and special guest Heather McAulay of the Soda Shop Gang. Joey and Kurk will open with “Tennessee Whiskey” in tribute to the beginning of CCR and provide music for performers who need back up. The Legion is providing refreshmen­ts. Popalopalo­ts Improv Comedy is hosting a 26-hour marathon in support of the QEH/Eastlink Telethon to support the purchase of priority medical equipment for the QEH. The event begins March 30 at 8 p.m. and continues until March 31 at 10 p.m. and will feature seven members of the Popalopalo­ts as they strive for 26 continuous, non-stop hours of laughter and improve. Bubbles & Bells, an interactiv­e show for babies and toddlers, is at The Guild in Charlottet­own, April 4, 10-11 a.m. Admission is pay what you can.

The Atlantic Academy of Performing Arts presents “Awake”, April 7, 7 p.m., at Harbourfro­nt Theatre, Summerside. This musical was written by local talents Jenna Harvey and Sherri-Lee and is about a group of friends dealing with the loss of one of their own. Contains mature content. Spotlight School of Arts Inc. presents Improv Invitation­al at the school’s 227 Water St. location on April 7. Open to youth improv teams, ages 13-18, a day of workshops will culminate in an evening improv battle royale, where participan­ts will have a chance to perform and square off against other Island teams. The evening performanc­e will be the Celtic Performing Arts Centre at the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada, 619 Water St. The battle, which is open to the public, starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is by donation, which will go towards the school’s scholarshi­p fund.
