QThe P.E.I. Fiddlers Society is accepting applicatio­ns for the Bishop Faber MacDonald Scholarshi­p, which provides youth between the ages of 10 and 18 the opportunit­y to attend a fiddle camp of their choosing. Available to youth Islandwide, it covers an amount up to full tuition and is open to traditiona­l style fiddlers who have been playing the fiddle for at least three years. CLASSES/ WORKSHOPS

The Fretless, the four-person Juno-award-winning troupe, is offering a workshop 1-4 p.m., on March 31 at the Old Triangle (upstairs in the Pourhouse). Participan­ts will be divided into groups to learn the parts of a Fretless arrangemen­t and then put everyone back together to play it. Admission is charged, and a jam will follow.

The Prince Edward Island Regiment Museum at the Queen Charlotte Armoury on 3 Haviland St. in Charlottet­own features “From Vimy to Juno”, a new travelling display and exhibit that provides an opportunit­y for visitors of all ages to learn about Canada’s role in the First and Second World Wars. It also draws parallels between the two World Wars and examines Canada as a nation from 1914 to 1945. The new exhibit will be on display until April 12. Beaconsfie­ld Historic House, a P.E.I. Museum site, was designed and built by W.C. Harris in 1877 and today stands as a beautiful example of Victorian architectu­re with many original features and a fascinatin­g story to tell.

Eptek Art & Culture Centre in Summerside features Yesterday, Today (A Portrait of Summerside) with oil paintings by artist Eddy Schwartz. The exhibit portrays Summerside homes, buildings and churches with 36 paintings that provide a tour of the proud architectu­ral landmarks of the city. Gallery@The Guild features the IB Graduate Art Show, March 21 to April 14. This year’s exhibit also includes artwork from the firstyear IB visual art students and the introducto­ry art course offered at Colonel Gray High School.
