MURPHY, Kathleen Teresa (Keefe)

The death occurred at Provincial Palliative Care Unit on Sunday, April 8th of Kathleen Teresa Murphy (nee Keefe), aged 90 years, recently living at the Andrews of Stratford Community Care Facility, and formerly from Charlottetown and Kinkora. Kathleen is survived by her eight children: Shawn (Yvette); D’Arcy (Barb), Danny (Martie), Kevin (Kathy), Michael (Paul Smith), Stephen (Aileen), Mary Jane Cassidy (Michael), and Joey (Mona). She is also survived by her twenty eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two sistersin-law: Hermine Keefe (Elmer) and Mary Keefe (Earl). She was predeceased by her husband Bill who died on August 24, 1994; her parents, John and Angelina (Monaghan) Keefe, and by her fifteen brothers and sisters: Eileen, John (Mary McCardle), Elizabeth, Rev. Wilfred Keefe, Sister Mary Angela CSM (Edith Keefe ), Margaret, Earl (Mary Gallant), Maurice (Mary Barghello), Leslie (Helen Carragher), Mary Curley (O’Leary), Gerald (Ursuline McIntyre), Sister Marion Keefe CSM, Elmer (Hermine St. Pierre), Leonard (Genevieve Carragher), and Lorne (Sabina Deighan). She is resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 10th from 2- 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass shall take place at Saint Dunstan’s Basilica on Wednesday, April 11th at 10 a.m. Interment later in The Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
