WORK CONTINUES

-

CAVENDISH — Construction work on the parking lot and vehicle entrance at Green Gables Heritage Place will begin today.

The work is expected to continue until June 29, weather permitting. Access to parking for visitors will continue to be available during this time. Parks Canada says it is upgrading these areas as part of a multi-year redevelopment project to improve infrastructure and enhance visitor experience at Green Gables Heritage Place.

As part of this work, the east entrance to the site will be closed, and the west driveway will be widened and reconfigured to become the primary vehicle entrance/exit. Parks Canada staff will be on-site in the parking area as of May 1 when the site opens for the season to direct visitors and answer questions. Visitors are advised to exercise caution, respect all on-site signage and closures and to follow instructions.
