The funeral for Edna M. Ellsworth, wife of the late Joseph I Ellsworth, was held Saturday April 14, 2018 from the West Prince Funeral Home to the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road where funeral mass was celebrated by Rev. Albin Arsenault who also delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and farewell. The first reading was read by granddaugh­ter Carolyn Vandaele. The second reading was read by granddaugh­ter Tracy Arsenault. The prayers of the faithful were read by great granddaugh­ter Gabrielle Vandaele. The church choir sang under the direction of Velda Gallant accompanie­d by organist Anita Doucette. Procession­al hymn was “You Are Mine”. Psalm was “Yes I Shall Arise”. Offertory was a solo “Come To The Water” by Rodney Arsenault. Communion hymn was “23 Psalm” and Rodney Arsenault sang solo “Gentle Woman”. Farewell song was “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and recessiona­l hymn was “How Great Thou Art”. Altar servers were Kathleen Doucette, Bernadette Gallant and Kathy Laming. Eucharisti­c ministers were great granddaugh­ter Sadie Arsenault, daughter-in-law Audrey Ellsworth and Megan O’Halloran. The pall was placed on the casket by the family. All family and friends attending the funeral where considered honorary pallbearer­s. Active pallbearer­s were grandsons Mike Doucette, Ralph Bernard, Neil Ellsworth great grandsons Kane Ellsworth, Dominick Vandaele and Kevin Kennedy. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
