Dominic John David Walker pleaded guilty Tuesday to a rash of thefts from vehicles and homes.

The crime spree took place between Dec. 22 and Jan. 3.

Walker pleaded guilty to breaking into cottages and summer residences in New London and Rice Point, stealing numerous items and causing considerable damage.

In one case, restitution of more than $4,000 is being sought by one cottage owner where Walker sprayed the interior with a fire extinguisher.

He also hurled a paint can against a wall, causing a large hole and splattering the wall and floor with paint.

Restitution could be a challenge as Walker already has an outstanding balance owing of more than $17,000 from past crimes.

He stole a wide variety of items from vehicles and homes during his two weeks of crime in Stratford, New London and Rice Point.

Numerous gift cards were pocketed, including $450 worth from one vehicle alone.

He stole a pellet gun, shotgun shells and a camouflage jacket.

He nabbed several pairs of sunglasses.

Walker also pinched fishing gear, a jacket, a suitcase, light bulbs, an Android box, snow shoes and poles.

In addition, he pleaded guilty to uttering a threat to a former employer after claiming he was owed money.

He threatened to have a couple of men pay a visit and do great harm.

He will be remanded in custody awaiting sentencing May 4.
