Student Bursary

P.E.I. Farm Team is an initiative aimed at helping farms find student to work during the Summer months of 2018. It consists of a bursary of either $500 or $1000. The program has been amended to allow for immediate family members to qualify for the bursary. Farm Team P.E.I. provides students going into Grades 11 or 12 in September a $500 bursary and students entering or returning to college or university a $1000 bursary. Students are required to work 250 hours ($500) and 500 hours ($1000) to get the bursary at the end of the summer. Government pays 75 per cent of the bursary, while the employer pays the other 25 per cent. Participating farms are responsible for finding, interviewing, and employing the participating students.
