Musician, friends take stage May 6 in Charlottetown
Two well known performers, Peter Burke and Susan Campbell are teaming up with a few musician friends – Brian Knox, Heartz Godkin and Judy Lowe – to take the stage at a ceilidh Sunday, May 6 1:30 p.m. at the Seniors Active Living Centre.
The audience can expect to enjoy a variety of country, as well as some good old rock ‘n’ roll music.
Singing comes naturally for Campbell as she has been performing since the age of 15 with various groups in the Souris area.
Originally from Dundas, she performs at many ceilidhs and entertains the seniors at the Bay View Lodge in Souris. A resident of Stratford, she also sings the anthem at some of the Islanders hockey games.
Burke, a multi-talented musician plays bass guitar and drums, but most times he will be singing and playing his acoustic guitar.
He has been associated with many groups over the years when he played on the road in western and eastern Canada. His most recent involvement is with Ceilidh in the City.
