Cards/Cribbage/ Crokinole

The Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, will be having an Auction tournament on Thursday, May 31. Registrati­on is at 12:45 p.m. with the tournament starting at 1 p.m. Admission is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. There will be a 50/50 draw as well as prizes for first, second and third.

The Mayflower Seniors Club has bridge play Thursdays, 1:30 p.m., at the Robert L. Cotton Centre, Bunbury Road. All players are welcome. Call 902-569-1425.

Fundraiser­s

The Mount will be hosting a fashion show on Thursday, May 31, at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door. The residents and staff will be modelling clothing from Belle’s Boutique in Montague. All money raised goes directly to the activity department.

The June edition of the Sadat Cuisine dinner to help support the immigratio­n of a refugee couple coming to P.E.I. from Afghanista­n is June 2, 6-8 p.m., at Sadat’s Cuisine, 223 University Ave. in Charlottet­own. A multi-course meal of lamb, chicken, beef or vegetarian is available - all locally sourced. There’s a dessert as well. Call 902-367-6631 or 902-2137420 by May 31 to reserve a time and meal-choice. The price is $30, and two-thirds of that goes to the refugee-support fund.
