Suddenly at the Juravinski Hospital on July 29, 2018 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Aileen (nee MacDonald). Loving father of Jeanne (Gerry) and Jim (Tracy). Cherished grandfathe­r of Christina, Victoria, Andrea (Ian), Lisa, Bryan, Jesse (Alex), Brent (Laura), Lindsey and greatgrand­father of Blair, Ty, Lexie and Evan. Dear brother of Harold, Aubrey (Rita) and Bill (Doris). Predecease­d by parents Charlie and Margaret, brother Elmer, sister Shirley, and sisters-in-law Helen, Shirley and Margaret. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Cecil was born on Prince Edward Island and remained a proud “Spud Islander” all his life. He was a parishione­r of Sts Peter & Paul Parish for 55 years and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member. Retired Dofasco employee of 34 years. Sadly missed by his Hoover Crescent neighbours of 55 years and his new neighbours at The Wellington retirement community. Thank you to the Juravinski Hospital staff in the ER, ICU and E3 department­s. Thank you also to the staff at The Wellington for welcoming Cecil to their community. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, Ontario, on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 2 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sts Peter & Paul Parish, 50 Brucedale Avenue East, Hamilton, Ontario, on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
