Peacefully at Provincial Palliative Care on Saturday, August 4, 2018 of Earl Kenny of Stratford, age 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Judy

Kenny (nee Gallant) and loving father of Lynne Brodie (Al), Kim Kenny (Jules) and Scott Kenny (Marilyn). Earl is also lovingly remembered by his Grandchild­ren - Lucas and Hannah Thompson; Brothers Mike Kenny (Rita) and Francis Kenny (Lois), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by his parents - Herb and Josephine (nee Morrissey) Kenny; Brothers - Gerard and Roy and Sisters - Mary, Anna, Pearl and Joan. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, August 10, 2018 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Marcellus started his next journey peacefully surrounded by his wife and children at Dr. John M Gillis Memorial Lodge. Born in Orwell where he lived his whole life, Marcellus enjoyed farming, community service, the Knights of Columbus and Cursillo.

A constant in his life was his Catholic faith which guided many of his actions during his life and gave him peace at the end. Marcellus is survived by his wife Sheila (MacDonald), sons David (Ann), Wayne (Jayne) and Gerard; and daughter - Doris Compton (Robert, deceased). Step-daughters Heather and Julie Feehan (Bradley). Cherished Grandfathe­r of Trevor (Amy), Matthew (Maggie), Lori (Grant), Susan (Dusty), Kerri (Mike), Benny (Christina), Jeremy (Kim), Sarah (David), Justin, Dalton, Emma, Alisha and 16 GreatGrand­children. Marcellus will be missed by brothers – Wilbur (Marie) and Ignatus (Ita), sisters - Ronelda Whalen (Jim), Augusta Harriman (Don), and Gloria Chapman (Cyril). Sheila’s siblings - Wendell, Carol, Ray, Clara, Helen, Mac and Mona and their spouses and children. He was predecease­d by his first wife Lorna MacDonald (nee Morrissey), infant daughter, Marion and parents - Helen and Leo MacDonald, his brothers - Charles (Joan), Ronald and Joseph in infancy; sister Gloria and sister-in-law Pauline MacDonald. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River. Interment will follow at St. Joachim’s Cemetery. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 6:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Joachim’s Cemetery Fund or Alzheimer’s P.E.I. would be appreciate­d. James Allan “Jamie” Malone of West Royalty and formerly of Halifax, N.S. passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the V.G. Hospital in Halifax, N.S. on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the age of 40 years after a very courageous and well fought two and a half year battle with acute Myeloid Leukemia. He leaves behind his father and mother Allan and Brenda Malone of West Royalty, his brother Stephen (Angie MacDonald) of Shamrock, P.E.I., his sister Katie Stevenson (Devin) and his nephews who he was so proud of Rowan and Clark all of Winsloe. We would like to thank Dr. Stephen Coubin and the team of Doctors in Hematology at the V.G. Hospital who worked so hard to save Jamie’s life.To the nurses and staff on the 8th floor and ICU for your compassion and care above and beyond. You are all angels and fought hard for Jamie. Also many thanks to the Halifax Haven Guest Home, our home during this difficult time. Where would we have been without your kindness and compassion. Thank-you. Jamie has requested no wake or funeral but a Celebratio­n of his Life will be held on Sunday, August 12th from 4 to 7 at the Jack Blanchard Family Center (Holy Redeemer Hall), on Pond St. In Charlottet­own.
