A whole new way to watch

‘The Island Summer Review’ coming to Facebook Live today

-

“The Island Summer Review” is doing something new to show appreciation for those who have come to Harmony House Theatre, across six seasons.

On Aug. 8, with the support of the one of the show’s major sponsors at honibe, fans can drop in to this year’s edition via Facebook Live.

When audience members talk to Patrick Ledwell and Mark Haines about “The Island Summer Review”, they often say they’re coming “when their people are home”.

“Over the years, we’ve had great conversations with people returning for summer, from France to Fort MacMurray to Framingham, Massachusetts,” says Ledwell. “We thought, ‘what if someone’s not able to make it back to the Island this time around?’ Maybe we can try to extend a new way to catch the show. Live to the world, from Hunter River.”

Starting at 7:55 p.m., Facebook Live will offer a streamed version of the show from Harmony House Theatre to subscribed viewers.

To see the show broadcast live, all audience members need to do is click to like broadcast sponsor honibe’s Facebook page at www. facebook.com/honibe.

Those who have joined the honibe page in advance will receive lead-up notifications to tune in and when the video starts broadcasting live.

“Our business sponsors have been key to opening the doors each season,” says theatre coowner Melanie Taylor. “We appreciate how honibe is helping us share the show outside our borders, in this creative way.”
