The funeral mass for Earl Kenny was celebrated Friday, August 10, 2018 from Hillsboro Funeral Home to Our Lady of the Assumption Church with Fr. Benedict Paulraj, O. Praem as chief celebrant proclaiming the gospel and delivering the homily. The pall was placed by Earl’s children - Lynne Brodie, Kim Kenny and Scott Kenny. The paschal candle was lit by his son - Scott Kenny. The first reading was proclaimed by Michelle Thompson, second reading by Theresa Doucette and the prayers of intercession by Bernie Perrotti. Music was provided by organist - Kathleen MacDonald and Our Lady of the Assumption Choir. The processional hymn was “Be Not Afraid”, responsorial psalm - “The Lord is my Shepherd”, offertory - “Here I Am Lord”, communion - “Like A Shepherd”, incense - “Songs of the Angels” and the recessional hymn was “Amazing Grace”. The cross bearer was Clair Arsenault; the altar servers were Debi and Rick Richard and the holy water and incense bearer was Adelbert Roche. The Gift Bearers were Carmy Digout and Lucas and Hannah Thompson. The Eucharistic Ministers were Arlene Trainor and Shirley Arsenault. The Honorary Pallbearers were everyone in attendance. The pallbearers were Steve Thompson, Lucas Thompson, Al Brodie, George Doucette, Chris Kenny and Trevor Darrach. Interment followed at Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery with Fr. Benedict Paulraj delivering the graveside prayers. Following the Interment, relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the church hall for refreshments provided by the CWL. Completion of funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
