MACDONALD Harriet

The funeral for the late Harriet MacDonald was celebrated at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s, on August 22, 2018 with celebrant Father Tim Broderick officiating. The altar servers were Edith MacDonald and Geordie Johnston. Placing the pall were Stephen Butler, Terry MacDonald, Gloria Jenkins and Earl MacDonald. Lighting of the pascal candle was Dewey MacDonald. The first reading was read by Colleen MacDonald, while Debbie Duncan proclaimed the second reading. Judy Butler offered the prayers of intercession. Father Broderick read the gospel and delivered the homily. The gift bearers included Mandy Callbeck, Amber Parsons, and Allie Butler. The pallbearers were grandsons, Carson Butler, Mike Crosby, Dan Jenkins, Jesse MacDonald, Cody Jenkins, Matt Jenkins, Carter MacDonald, and Kris Butler. Honorary pallbearers were everyone in attendance. Flower Bearers included granddaughters, Amber Parsons, Mandy Callbeck, Courtney MacDonald, Hannah MacDonald, Allie Butler as well as great grandchildren, Darren Martin, Eric Callbeck, Finley Butler, Breanna Jenkins, Alex Callbeck and Parker Lily Jenkins. The funeral bulletins were passed out by Hannah MacDonald and Courtney MacDonald. Eucharistic minister was Edith MacDonald. Music was provided by St. George’s choir, singing, Processional, Old Rugged Cross; Psalm, Psalm 23; Preparation of Gifts, Hail Mary, Gentle Woman; Communion, Come to the Water; Incensing, Songs of the Angels; and the Recessional, How Great Thou Art. Go Rest High on the Mountain was sang at the graveside. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
