The Monday afternoon feature had nothing but open road for Rockin Indy as he triumphed on the special Labour Day program at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Corey MacPherson engineered the winning trip leaving from Post 3 with Rockin Indy to set fractions of 27.4, 57.2 and 1:27 before scoring a three-quarter-length victory in 1:56.3.

Slide Guitar (David Dowling) was second in the $2,000 class with Pictonian Storm (Austin Sorrie) completing the $114.30 triactor. Rockin Indy is owned and trained by Troy Murray of Clyde River.

Dowling had three wins on the program to put himself in a tie for third place amongst drivers in Prince County. Charlottetown

Fresh out of the Gold Cup and Saucer final, Rose Run Quest hit the wire first as the favourite Saturday at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Marc Campbell was in the bike behind Rose Run Quest as he delivered on his post time promise as the betting favourite, but it was a hard-fought contest.

Winter Blast (Jason Hughes) laid down the early splits in the $2,650 event with fractions of 28.1 and 57.1 while battling with the first-over Czar Seelster (Kenny Arsenault), who was second choice by the betting public. Three-quarters were reached in 1:27.1 with Winter Blast fading on the lead and Rose Run Quest tipped three-wide on Czar Seelster into contention.

Rose Run Quest would prevail by a neck in the stretch drive over Czar Seelster in 1:55.1 while Euchred (Gilles Barrieau) was third. Rose Run Quest is owned by Blair Hansen of Charlottetown.
