Wedge, Quinn headline Winsloe United Church ceilidh

Host Colleen MacPhee welcomes back the duo of Keelin Wedge and Eddy Quinn to the Winsloe United Church ceilidh on Monday, Sept. 10, 7:30 p.m.

This popular duo has been filling the venue whenever they perform in Winsloe.

Quinn, an author and songwriter, is the lead singer for the Wedge

stories from Characters”. award-winning Island musical group Fiddlers’ Sons.

He will be singing some of his traditiona­l songs as well as sharing some his book, “Island

Both his book and CDs will be available to purchase at the ceilidh.

Wedge, a multi-instrument­alist and singer is also a member of the Fiddlers’ Sons and will be playing jigs and reels Quinn on the guitar as well as on the fiddle.

This high-energy performer will also sing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.

MacPhee a member of the popular group, A Tribute to Lady Singers of our Century, will be performing songs from a variety of different artists and will be joined by the rest of the band, Dave Berrigan, Brian Knox and Judy Lowe.

The ceilidh is a fundraiser for Winsloe United Church which is wheelchair-accessible, has plenty of parking and is located at 121 Winsloe Rd.

Tickets are $10 at the door with doors opening at 6.30. p.m.

There will be a light lunch served.
