Event also a chance to learn about World Aca­dian Congress

As part of the Aca­dian Har­vest Fes­ti­val at the Farm­ers’ Bank of Rus­tico Mu­seum, an evening of in­for­ma­tion, pre­sented by two com­mit­tee mem­bers of the 2019 Haché-Gal­lant Re­union, is planned for Thurs­day, Sept. 20.

The pre­sen­ta­tion, given by Til­mon and Ron Gal­lant, will be­gin at 7:30 p.m.

They will give an overview of the up-com­ing World Aca­dian Congress in Au­gust 2019, the ac­tiv­i­ties in­volved and the fo­cus on a great num­ber of fam­ily re­unions taking place in Prince Ed­ward Is­land and south­east­ern New Brunswick.

An em­pha­sis will be placed on the Haché-Gal­lant fam­ily re­union, its lo­ca­tion, dates and the ac­tiv­i­ties which will be of­fered.

An in­vi­ta­tion goes to all Haché and Gal­lant fam­i­lies, young and old, to join to­gether dur­ing two days of cel­e­bra­tion at Sk­maqnPort-LaJoye-Fort-Amherst dur­ing which there will be an op­por­tu­nity to trace fam­ily roots, at­tend con­fer­ences and be en­ter­tained.

The mu­seum is lo­cated at 2188 Church Rd., Route 243 off Route 6, in Rus­tico.

The Farm­ers’ Bank of Rus­tico Mu­seum is wheel­chair-ac­ces­si­ble and air-con­di­tioned.
