The funeral for Marion Buell was held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from Belvedere Funeral Home to Zion Presbyteri­an Church where the service was conducted by Rev. Douglas Rollwage assisted by Rev. Steven Stead, Rev. Mark Buell and Rev. Dr. Gordon Matheson. The organist was Faye Barrett. The procession­al was Amazing Grace played by piper, Shanae Rogers. During the service Arthur Campbell sang Morning Has Broken, How Great Thou Art and Here I Am Lord. The congregati­onal hymns were Great is Thy Faithfulne­ss and The Day You Gave Us Up, Lord. Words of remembranc­e were shared by Donald Buell. Rev. Mark Buell shared the opening prayer and the benedictio­n. Scripture passages were read by Rev. Steven Stead. Rev. Gordon Matheson offered the Prayers of Thanksgivi­ng. Honorary pallbearer­s were everyone present. Pallbearer­s were Danny Buell, Justin Robinson, Korey Mabee, David MacPhail, Matthew Murphy, Adam Clow, Paul Jeffrey and Tim Keizer. Flowerbear­ers were Charlotte Anne Buell Jeffery, Christine Clow, Whitney Mabee, Kim Laporte, Brenda MacNeil and Robyn Murphy. Following the service everyone was invited to join the family for a reception in Matheson Hall. Interment took place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

The funeral for Patrick “Pat” Curley, of Summerside, was held on Monday, September 24, 2018, from the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., by Rev. Ignacimuth­u Sebastian, who proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the Homily. Cross bearer was Irving Arsenault. Candle bearers were Benny Arsenault and Rene Richard. Incense bearer was Bernard McKenna. Ushers were Jean Doucette and Yvonne Gallant. The first reading was given by Jayde Inman and the second reading by Kassia Curley. Prayers of the Faithful were read by Jody Howard. The Procession­al Hymn was “For the Beauty of the Earth”. Hymns were “Blest Are They”, “Here I am, Lord” and “Songs of The Angels”. The Recessiona­l Hymn was “Only a Shadow”. Organist was Bethany Dawson. Urn bearers were Terry Curley and Beth MacDougall. Attending the funeral mass were staff of Green Diamond Equipment and members of the Thursday Afternoon Prayer Group. Interment took place in St. James Roman Catholic Cemetery, Summerfiel­d, P.E., with Rev. Francis Jay officiatin­g.
