At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the passing of Lorna B. Sutherland (nee Leeco) age 80, of Murray River, occurred on Tuesday, September

25, 2018. Born November 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harper and Muriel (Jackson) Leeco. Lorna is survived by her loving children, John (Helen), Geoff and Joel (Mina); cherished grandchild­ren, Amanda, Shawn, Garrett, Ben and Kinza; brothers and sisters, Robert (Maureen), Harold, Doris Gormley, Joan Gormley and Juanita Leeco; several nieces and nephews. Predecease­d by brother Barrie Leeco; niece Beaudah Gormley, nephew Nicolas Gormley and brother-in-law Emerson Gormley. No visiting by personal request. Celebratio­n of life service to be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at 4:30 p.m., from the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in the Peters Road Cemetery. Donations to the IWK would be appreciate­d.

Terry Moore, a broadcaste­r whose career spanned 62 years, has died after a battle with cancer.

Radio station CFAX says Moore died Monday at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, leaving behind his wife, Ramona, and four adult children. He was 82 years old.

Moore was a well-know afternoon host on CFAX 1070 radio in Victoria since the early 2000s, where he interviewe­d newsmakers both locally and globally in his coverage of current events.

He began his career in radio in 1956 in Edmonton, then moved to Toronto. He spent the 1960s anchoring TV news in Edmonton, Sudbury, Ont., and Calgary before making his way to New York to work at WTFM in morning radio and as the assistant program director.

In the 1970s, Moore moved to Vancouver where he was heard on radio stations CKWX and CJOR before joining CKNW.
