LECLAIR Hazel Marie
The funeral for Hazel LeClair (nee Gallant), wife of the late Ferdie LeClair, of North Rustico, was held on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico. The celebrant for the mass of Christian burial was Reverend Alrulraj Santiago, who also proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the homily. The pall was placed on the casket by her children; Gerarda Peddy, Wayne LeClair, Bruce LeClair, Cindy Hughes, Bobby LeClair, Jeff LeClair, Larry LeClair and Nancy Ford. The first reading, from Ecclesiastes, was addressed by daughter-in-law, Shirley LeClair. The second reading, from Romans, was addressed by granddaughter, Krista Perry, who also led the prayers of the faithful. The altar servers were Peter Gallant, Norman Gallant, Estelle Bourgeois and Marcia Bulger. Carl Pineau assisted Father Raj as Eucharistic minister. The music was provided by the church choir with Sister Phyllis Gallant, CND, as organist; and Noreen Down as song leader. The hymns were: Entrance, “Here I Am, Lord”; Psalm, “Psalm of the Good Shepherd”, with Noreen Down as cantor; Gospel Acclamation, “Celtic Alleluia”, sung by Noreen Down; offertory, “Seek Ye First”; communion, “See Us Lord, About Your Altar”; post communion, “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman” commendation, “Songs of the Angels”; and recessional, “How Great Thou Art”. Honorary pallbearers were everyone present. Pallbearers were Lowell Parkman, Mitchell Ford, Floyd Peters, Jared Oatway, Mark LeClair and Dalis Peters. Flower bearers were Matthew Ford, Mason Ford and Cole Perry. Interment took place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown where Reverend Santiago conducted the committal service. Arrangements were entrusted to Central Queen`s Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
