Country Blend returns with more favourites

-

Classic country hits and gospel favourites take centre stage when Country Blend returns to Harbourfront Theatre on Friday, Oct. 12, 7:30 p.m.

Comprised of five seasoned western Canadian musicians, the southern Manitoba-based quintet started touring together in November 2004. Their concerts are two hours of traditional country music and country gospel, featuring hits made famous by classic country legends such as Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, The Statler Brothers and Hank Williams Sr., to name just a few.

Country Blend is a high energy group full of rhythm, great harmony and fantastic piano playing. The group consists of Dianne Lodge on lead vocals and bass guitar, Evelyn Ramage on lead and harmony vocals, crowd favourite Gordy “Crazy Fingers” Lindquist on piano, Henry Martens on bass and rhythm guitar and group manager Cyn Lodge on drums.

A unique feature of the Country Blend tour is the fact that it has a travelling audience of nearly 50 enthusiastic fans who are actually on tour with them on their bus and will attend the concert along with the local audience. This group arrives ready to have a toe-tapping good time.

Tickets are on sale at the Harbourfront Theatre box office and at harbourfronttheatre.com. For more information on Country Blend visit countryblend.ca.
