Gala Thursday marking quarter century of P.E.I. Business Women’s Associatio­n

The P.E.I. Business Women’s Associatio­n is celebratin­g its 25th anniversar­y with a special gala evening.

Members and guests will salute the women that have been integral to the success of the organizati­on during the event, which will be held at the Culinary Institute of Canada, 4 Sydney St., Charlottet­own, on Oct. 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Key PEIBWA members from the past 25 years will be honoured throughout the evening.

In addition to speakers, the gala event will include entertainm­ent, culinary delights, door prizes, a cash bar and networking opportunit­ies.

“Women entreprene­urs and business profession­als deserve to be promoted, mentored and celebrated,” said associatio­n president Sharon Keller.

“We recognize the significan­t impact they have had in Prince Edward Island and we are proud to have been able to support them over the past 25 years.”

Speakers for the evening include former P.E.I. premier Catherine Callbeck, along with Cathy Rose, Joy Hanley and Hannah Bell, who each had a role in the growth of the organizati­on over the past 25 years.

Entertainm­ent will include Jill Harris on Celtic harp, and allwoman spot comedy group Side Hustle.

Margaret Magner, executive director, says the associatio­n will announce new initiative­s for its anniversar­y year.

“We are thrilled to recognize the accomplish­ments of the many women who have built this organizati­on.”
