Saturday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. to noon, for a Coffee House and Christmas Sale

at St. John’s Anglican Church, 391 Nelson St., Crapaud, hosted by the Church Mouse Thrift Shop. The sale will include preserves, a bake table and gently used Christmas items. There will also be coffee and treats. Admission is $5 per person. Tickets are available from parishione­rs, Salon 22 or at the door. This will be the final sale and event for the season at the thrift shop.

Saturday, Nov. 3, 5-7 p.m., for the final Sadat refugee-support dinner

in aid of Afghan refugees Sayed and Bibi Fazli, who arrived on P.E.I. in September. The dinner is at Sadat’s Cuisine, 223 University Ave., Charlottet­own, a take-away or sit-down multi-course meal — lamb, chicken, beef or vegan, with basmati rice and salad, plus a decadent dessert. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 4:30 p.m., for a seniors roast turkey dinner

Fundraiser Central Queens United Church Fall Roast Beef Dinner

is Saturday, Oct. 27, with tickets still available for 4:30 p.m., as well as for takeouts (meals to be picked up at 3 p.m.). Enjoy a hot roast beef dinner with all the trimmings.
