The funeral for Jordon Michael Hennessey was held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottet­own Funeral Home to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer where the funeral mass was celebrated by Reverend Danny Wilson who also delivered the homily. The funeral pall was placed on the casket by Jordon’s parents Mike and Estelle and sisters Samantha and Emily. The lessons were read by his aunt Cathy Callaghan and Tim MacKenzie. The prayers of intercessi­on were offered by his uncle Joe Callaghan. The funeral mass was sung by The Holy Redeemer Church Choir under the direction of Mary Morrison. The organist was Gary Cudmore. During the mass the choir sang the procession­al hymn, Here I Am Lord and the recessiona­l hymn, Be Exalted Oh God. Soloist Flora Ann Whitty sang the offertory hymn, For Those Tears I Died and the meditation hymn, Hallelujah. Also, David Rashed and Anne Marie Valois sang the Communion hymn, Lord, I Need You. The pallbearer­s were Jonathan Bouchey, Patrick Callaghan, Connor Hennessey, Dylan Hennessey, Conor Hennessey, Steve Shales and Cody MacRae. The honorary pallbearer­s were everyone in attendance. The interment took place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottet­own. Among those in attendance were representa­tives of Cavendish Farms Management team, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Family and Human Services, Queen Elizabeth Hospital nursing staff, and the Charlottet­own Fire Department. Members of the Charlottet­own Fire Department held an honour guard outside the church following the funeral mass.
