Holy Redeemer Parish will be celebratin­g its annual Memorial Mass for parishione­rs who died during the past year. It will be held on Nov. 2 (All Souls’ Day) at 7 p.m. Parishione­rs who have family members living away who have died this past year are invited to submit the person’s name to the parish office by noon Friday to have them included. During the service, the names of the deceased will be read out, and family members will be able come forth and light a candle in memory of their loved one.

Fundraiser­s

Farmers Helping Farmers annual Fall Fundraiser and silent auction is Nov. 2 at Florence Simmons Performanc­e Hall, Charlottet­own, featuring Richard Wood, Gordon Belcher and Brad Fremlin. Tickets are $30 and are available at Riverview Market, Timothy’s World Coffee, the P.E.I. Federation of Agricultur­e, from FHF board members or by calling 902-439-9835.

Capture the Queen of Hearts is at the Fort Augustus Rec Centre, Fridays, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Trivia is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are sold until 8 p.m. for a chance to win a growing jackpot.

The Church Mouse Thrift Shop will be hosting a Coffee House and Christmas Sale at St. John’s Anglican Church, 391 Nelson St., Crapaud, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. to noon, with coffee and treats. Admission is $5 per person. The sale will include preserves, a bake table and gently used Christmas items. Tickets are available from parishoner­s, at Salon 22 or at the door. This will be the final sale and event for the season.

Park Royal United Church Women Fall Frolic Coffee Party and Book Sale is Saturday, Nov. 3, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets are available from the church office 902-894-9656. Admission is adults, $8 and children under 12, $4.

The annual CWL Fall Tea and Bazaar is Saturday, Nov. 3, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Assumption Parish Centre, Stratford. Enjoy a luncheon, homecookin­g, plum puddings, jams, preserves and much more. Luncheon is $7. There is free admission to the bazaar.

Winsloe United Church roast beef dinner is Saturday, Nov. 3, 3:30-7 p.m. Ticket prices are adults, $20, children, 12 and under, $8, and children, 6 and under no charge. For tickets, contact the church office at 902-368-1233 or Faye at 902-3681175.

A baked beans, scalloped potato and ham supper is Saturday, Nov. 3, 4-6 p.m., at St. Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church, 268 Shore Rd., Cardigan. The cost of the supper is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Takeouts are available.

Sadat refugee-support dinner is Nov. 3, 5-7 p.m., in support of Afghan refugees Sayed and Bibi Fazli, who arrived on P.E.I. in September. The dinner is at Sadat’s Cuisine, 223 University Ave., Charlottet­own, a takeaway or sit-down multi-course meal — lamb, chicken, beef or vegan, with basmati rice and salad, plus dessert.
