An informal, acoustic traditional music session is Thursdays, 7-9 p.m., at the Old Triangle, Charlottetown. Players and dancers are welcome. Filmworks Summerside movie screening series presents “The Song and the Sorrow”, directed by Islander Millefiore Clarkes at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 7. A Q&A with Catherine MacLellan and Clarkes will follow the screening. The second part of program includes “Anthropocene: The Human Epoch”. Tickets are available at the door of Summerside Cineplex. The Friends of Eptek Centre’s Lunchtime Film series feastures “John McCrae’s War: In Flanders Fields” (46 minutes) on Nov. 8 distributed by the National Film Board. Bring a sandwich; the Friends provide tea, coffee and cookies. There is no charge; however, donations are accepted for the refreshments. Eptek Centre, a site of the P.E.I.
