Third annual fundraiser for Women’s Network P.E.I. goes Nov. 6

-

Women’s Network P.E.I. will host the third annual Celebrate Island Women fundraiser in Charlottetown on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

It will take place at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall with the reception beginning at 6 p.m. and the performance getting underway at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $50 (tax and fees included) and can be purchased online through TicketPro or in person at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall box office.

Judy Herlihy, chairwoman of the board of directors, said it is a great platform to showcase and celebrate the artistic talents of local women, as well as allow the group to raise funds to help support its continued efforts in promoting gender equality locally while elevating the voices of all Island women.

“It really is incredible how the community has rallied around this event and come out to show their support,’’ Herlihy said.

Returning this year is awardwinning singer-songwriter powerhouse Irish Mythen, who will be master of ceremonies. With live performances from Tara MacLean, Tamara Steele, Colleen MacQuarrie, Kindra Bernard, Bing Yiao and others this jam-packed evening will feature live music from award winning artists, inspiring cultural dance, and laughout-loud comedy.

In addition to live performances, there will also be a silent auction featuring items from local business and Island artisans.
