The Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, is having a ceilidh Nov. 18, 1:30 p.m., with Dino Dunsford, Colleen MacPhee, Judy Lowe and Brian Knox. Admission is $10, and there will be a 50/50 draw. Light refreshmen­ts will be served. Doorx open at 1 p.m. Proceeds support centre activities.

Tunes on Tap is Sundays, 3-5 p.m., at Copper Bottom Brewery in Montague, hosted by Ward MacDonald with a special guest each week. All ages are welcome.

An old-fashioned kitchen party is Nov. 18 at St. Paul’s Parish Hall, Route 17A in Sturgeon, east of Montague. Admission is $5 with tea and biscuits served. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 6:30 p.m.

A ceilidh is at the Kelly’s Cross Community Centre, Nov. 18, 7 p.m., with emcee Jackie Molyneaux, the House Band (Elmer Doiron, Bill and Gertie Campbell, Dorothy Farish, Mike Johnston) and entertaine­rs Pat Molyneaux, Cynthia Arsenault, Mike Johnston, Gail DesRoches, Tillie MacDonald, Janice and Joseph Hebert, Fenton MacSwain and Barry MacKinnon. The centre, which is wheelchair­accessible, is at 1475, Route 13, Kelly’s Cross. Admission will include light lunch, tea and coffee. There will also be a 50/50 draw.

A Christmas ceilidh is Nov. 18, 7 p.m., at St. John’s Anglican Church, Milton. Performers are Katelyn Doyle, John Gallant, Amahri Young, Ava and Lily Rashed, accompanie­d by David Rashed, Roger Smith and Becky Alain and friends. Admission is $10 at the door.

The Shed at Slemon Park hosts a jam session, Tuesdays, 7-9 p.m., at Slemon Park Hotel and Conference Centre. Contact Kim, 902-888-7192. Those who play are invited to bring an instrument. There is free admission to this 19 and over event.

The Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO) presents Sarah Svendsen in performanc­e at St. Peter’s Cathedral, All Souls’ Lane, on Nov. 16, 7 p.m. An accomplish­ed soloist, adjudicato­r and music educator, she is presently touring Canada as travelling clinician for the RCCO. There is free admission.

An old-fashioned Christmas concert is at King George Hall, Port Hill, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m., with the Ellerslie School choir, Ava Perry and friends, other special guests. Admission is a free-will offering at door. There’s a 50/50 draw and a light lunch, and Santa may visit.

Sirens kicks off its 2018-19 season with “A Part of Me and You”. This concert will be presented in collaborat­ion with the Mi’kmaq Heritage Actors. The Docherty Family Band (Kendall, Jason and Timothy Docherty, along with their father, George) will perform its annual Christmas concert at the Fort Augustus Recreation Centre, Nov. 18, 2-4 p.m. Proceeds go to the Fort Augustus Heritage Park/Scott Redmond Memorial Playground for ongoing park projects.
