Sunday, Nov. 25, for the Tracadie Lions Club compliment­ary seniors Christmas dinner at the Tracadie Community Centre. Doors open at 4 p.m. with dinner served at 4:30 p.m. All residents of Tracadie Cross and surroundin­g areas 60 or over are welcome to this first-come, first-seated event to a maximum of 175 people.

Wednesday, Nov. 28, for the CN Pensioners annual banquet and meeting at The Inn on the Hill, Charlottet­own. Registrati­on will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the meal will be served at noon. The cost is $15. Call Margaret Bell, 902-368-1178, or Sally Jay, 902–892-1389, by Nov. 20 to reserve.

Dec. 1, 8-11 a.m., for a pancake breakfast for Special Olympics, an all-you-can-eat event, at the Summerside Superstore Community Room. Coffee tea, juice and two slices of ham are included. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for six years and under. Funds raised will go towards supporting athletes. coaches and volunteers at local and national games. Bring a camera as Santa will be available for pictures

Saturday, Dec. 1, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., for the annual St. Pius X CWL Christmas tea and bake sale in the MacKenzie Room, lower level of the church in Charlottet­own. The facility is wheelchair accessible. Luncheon admission is $5 each. Aall are welcome. Proceeds are in aid of Christmas charities.

Saturday, Dec. 1, 5:30 p.m., for the eighth annual festive turkey dinner with all the trimmings being held at Park Royal United Church gymnasium in Charlottet­own. Enjoy the atmosphere of festive décor, fine dining and good old-fashioned Christmas music. Tickets are available by calling church office at 902894-9656. The cost is $20 adults and $10 for children under 12.

Sunday, Dec. 2, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a fundraiser at the Rustico Bay Seniors Club in Rustico, put on by the family and friends of Sister Cecile Buote, a missionary sister in Cameroon, Africa. The club is located at 2104 Church Rd., Route 243.

Community

Coffee club is Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m., at the Milton Community Hall. Enjoy coffee and snacks. Admission is a donation of coin or treats.
