Amazing talent in this province

-

The Guardian is a great resource for what is going on in the community. I happened to notice a photo of The Music Man, Michael Pendergast entertaining some children at the Confederation Court Mall in the Food Court. I was curious about the event so I read the details. It seems The Music Man is playing at the mall every Tuesday until spring at 10:30 a.m. There is no charge but I am sure a tip would be appreciated.

The Music Man had the children singing, clapping and marching to the beat of his accordion. Silly songs included Bingo and every letter represented a word like balloon, ice cream, night, ground, ocean. Of course, the all-time favourite, If Your Happy and You Know It was included in the repertoire. Michael also got the children to imagine bursting a balloon with a bang. Then he asked the children to throw make-believe snowballs and to create a snowman complete with carrot nose and branches for arms.

Our grandchild loves music. She warmed up right away to the Music Man and was participating in no time. It was amazing to watch the children in attendance having fun. The Music Man even let the children play a couple notes on his accordion. We thoroughly enjoyed the half hour show and would highly recommend it to anyone. Grammie and Poppy clapped and stomped right along with the children. We certainly plan to take our grandchild again soon. It is amazing the talent on P.E.I. Marlene Bryenton, Charlottetown
