Tuesday, Dec. 4, for the P.E.I. Hospital Nurses Alumnae annual Christmas luncheon in the Georgian Room at the Rodd Charlottet­own Hotel. Seating is at 11:45 a.m., and the meal is served at noon. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 4:30 p.m., for a seniors ham and potato scallop dinner being put on by the Seniors Group of Holy Redeemer at the Jack Blanchard Family Centre, Pond Street, Charlottet­own. The price is $13. Tickets can be reserved by calling David, 902-892-1558 by the 5 p.m. deadline on Sunday, Dec. 2. Enjoy a great meal and the company of friends.

Wednesday, Dec. 5, 4:30 p.m., for the annual general meeting of Small Halls Inc. at York Point Community Hall, Cornwall.

Thursday, Dec. 6, 7-9 p.m., for a Christmas party at the Riverview Community Centre in Clyde River. All are welcome. There will be Christmas carols, games and refreshmen­ts. It is sponsored by Clyde River Baptist Church.

Competitio­n

Entries for the 2018 Festive Wreath Contest and Exhibition can be dropped off Nov. 24-25, 1-3 p.m., in the Confederat­ion Centre Boardroom. Categories include traditiona­l, The Dunes: off the wall, green living/ recycled, children solo, children group, adult group/business. There is a $5 entry fee, as well as prizes. Wreaths are on display at Confederat­ion Centre until mid-December. This is a project of the Friends of Confederat­ion Centre.

Presentati­on

A free Taste and Learn… Dips and Spreads! class will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, 11 a.m. to noon, at Sobeys Extra Stratford. Join the Sobeys dietitian and learn to prepare tasty recipes. The Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre UPEI will be having a Christmas Bake Sale on Monday, Nov. 26, 10:30 a.m.
