Fundraiser­s

The MacKenzie boys will be having their fifth annual toy drive on Dec. 14, 7:20 p.m., at the Three Rivers Sportsplex. Jack and Sam will be hosting a benefit hockey game with local youth playing local firemen/ politician­s. The Georgetown kindergart­en will start off the game with the national anthem with the help of Ocean 100 DJ Kerri Wynne MacLeod. Then she will join PC leadership contender and Georgetown native Dennis King to announce the game. Admission is a new, unwrapped toy that the boys will drop off to Ocean 100. Jack and Sam are students at Montague Regional High and the sons of Daryl and Lisa.

Capture the Queen of Hearts is at the Fort Augustus Rec Centre, Fridays, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Trivia is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are sold until 8 p.m. for a chance to win a growing jackpot.
